Support For Your Life.

Finding the right support can feel overwhelming. Whether you are a parent looking for help for your child, a teenager trying to navigate school and friendships, or an adult wanting support for yourself, it matters that the people around you genuinely understand neurodivergent experiences. At ND Perspective, our goal is to offer evidence-based, practical support from a team that truly gets it.

About Us

We are a neurodivergent-led clinic in Wangara offering psychology, behaviour support, occupational therapy and speech pathology for autistic children, teens and adults accessing the NDIS. Our work is shaped not only by professional training and experience, but by lived experience. Some of us are also neurodivergent; others have our own autistic kids, family members or community. This means we often have navigated the same systems, challenges and questions many of our families face.

Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming. We believe autism, ADHD and other neurodivergent differences are natural variations in how people think and experience the world. Our focus is not on trying to change who someone is, but on supporting wellbeing, communication, independence and confidence in everyday life.

Families often come to us at very different stages of their journey. Some are just beginning to explore a diagnosis or support options, while others have been navigating therapy and the NDIS for many years. Wherever you are starting from, we aim to meet you there and work alongside you to build the skills, understanding and supports that help life feel more manageable.

Above all, we want ND Perspective to feel like a place where people are respected, listened to and supported to be themselves.

Some of the Ways

We Can Help Our Families

Not sure what you need? Here are some of the common ways we support individuals and families.

Emotional & Mental Wellbeing

Our team supports people to recognise their emotions, manage stress, and develop coping strategies for challenging situations. Helping make everyday more manageable.

Everyday Life Skills

Daily activities like getting ready in the morning, staying organised, managing school or work demands or building independence can sometimes feel difficult. Our team helps develop the skills and routines to make life run more smoothly.

Communication

Communication is about more than the words we say. We help people develop the skills to express their needs, share ideas, understand others and feel more confident in conversations or social situations.

Family Support

Supporting a neurodivergent child or navigating the NDIS can feel complex and isolating at times. We work alongside families to provide guidance, practical strategies and support so you feel more confident.

Social Connection

Making friends and navigating social situations can sometimes feel confusing or stressful. We support people to better understand social dynamics and build relationships that matter to them.

School Skills

For many kids, handwriting and classroom tasks can be a source of frustration. We support skills such as pencil grip, letter formation, writing endurance and other classroom tasks that help children participate more comfortably with learning.

Behaviour & Daily Challenges

When behaviours becoming challenging, there is usually an underlying reason. We work to understand what is driving the behaviour and develop supportive practical strategies that help everyone feel safer and more confident.

Transition & Change

Support with managing transitions between activities, change in routine and unexpected events that can cause additional stress or overwhelm.

Executive Functioning

This encompasses skills such as planning, organisation, attention, memory and managing tasks. These skills help children participate in school and teens and adults manage work, responsibility and daily life more independently.

Sensory & Everyday Comfort

Many neurodivergent people experience the world very differently through their senses. We help individuals understand their sensory needs and develop strategies that reduce overwhelm and make days more comfortable.

Identity & Self-Advocacy

Helping people understand their emotions, strengths and neurodivergent identity while building self-confidence and self-advocacy skills.

Fine & Gross Motor Skills

Some children and adults find tasks like running, climbing, using scissors or doing up buttons difficult. We support development of both large body movements and finer hand skills, helping build coordination, strength and confidence.
