About our Therapists
Kaye Flavell
As a PBS Practitioner, I'm passionate about working alongside participants, families, and support teams to understand each person's unique strengths, experiences, and support needs. I believe the best outcomes come from building genuine relationships, recognising individual strengths, and developing practical, person-centred strategies that make a real difference to everyday life.
I enjoy getting to know the individuals I work with and understanding what matters most to them. I believe that trust, empathy, consistency, curiosity, and a good sense of humour are the foundation of effective behaviour support, and I strive to bring those values into every interaction. Each individual has their own story, and I enjoy helping them build on their strengths, develop new skills, and work towards goals that are meaningful to them whilst ensuring quality of life.
Before becoming a PBS Practitioner, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Crime and Criminology, which sparked my interest in understanding human behaviour and the many factors that influence it.
As a mum myself, I understand the importance of feeling heard, supported, and having the right people supporting you. One of the things I value most about my role is being able to support individuals and families through challenges, celebrate their progress, and help create positive, lasting change.

Paul Farley
I came to counselling through a combination of professional experience, study and lived experience. Over more than 20 years working in leadership and team-focused roles in complex and high-risk environments, I developed a strong appreciation for communication, trust, emotional awareness and the importance of understanding the person behind the behaviour.
I am a qualified counsellor with experience across counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and a range of psychotherapeutic approaches. I am also continuing my studies in psychology.
My connection to neurodivergence is also personal. I have lived experience of neurodivergence within my own family and have seen first-hand that what may appear straightforward from the outside can be considerably more complex when you are living it every day. I understand the challenges that can arise for children and teenagers, including emotional regulation, communication, behaviour, relationships and developing a sense of identity, as well as the impact these challenges can have on parents, siblings and the wider family.
That combination of professional knowledge and lived experience shapes the way I work. I don't believe there is a single approach that works for every person or family. I take the time to understand the individual, their experiences and the environment around them, looking beyond presenting behaviours to consider the underlying needs, emotions and patterns that may be influencing them. From there, I work collaboratively to develop approaches that are realistic, practical and suited to the individual.
For me, good counselling starts with creating a space where people feel understood rather than judged, and where they can talk openly about what is actually happening in their lives. My aim is to help neurodivergent children, young people and their families develop greater self-understanding, recognise their strengths, navigate challenges and build confidence in moving forward.
Shivani Mohanlal
My name is Shivani Mohanlal, and I am a dedicated Speech Pathologist with over 10 years of experience supporting children and adults living with disability. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and a range of other neurodevelopmental conditions.
I am passionate about helping participants develop functional and meaningful communication skills that support their independence, confidence, social connections, and quality of life. I work collaboratively with individuals, families, and support networks to create therapy approaches that are engaging, practical, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals.
I have experience supporting a wide range of communication areas, including speech, language, social communication, literacy, emotional regulation, and functional communication skills across home, school, community, and workplace settings.
Outside of work, I am a proud mumma to two beautiful children — my energetic 5-year-old daughter and my busy 10-month-old baby boy. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, going on long walks, and relaxing with a good thriller novel whenever I get the chance.
I feel incredibly privileged to support individuals and families on their communication journey and strive to create a warm, supportive, and empowering therapy experience for every participant that I work with.
